Course Description:
Information technology is penetrating in all areas of
living as small embedded devices, because these devices are
- available at a very low price
- consume low power during operation
- are small and light weight.
This is possible, since further integration of
silicon chips allows us to build complete systems on a single chip,
containing digital, analog and very soon electromechanical parts. The
digital part of the system implements the intelligence of the devices,
the analog part the communication skills (wireless) and the
electromechanical part the sensors and actors. In this course, we will
discuss the digital and analog part of these devices, including design
methodologies, standards and test problems.
News
- 12/10/1999: The next three lectures will be given by
Prof. Berroth. He will prepare handouts, thus there will be no lecture
material to download for these lectures.
- 11/16/1999: E. Clarke, O. Grumberg, D. Long, "`Verification
Tools for Finite-State Concurrent Systems"', Personal
communication, Internal Tutorial of CMU.
- 10/29/1999: rapra01-rapra16 should work as usual again.
- 10/29/1999: Unfortunately, you can't login on rapra01-rapra16 due
to ssh problems. Please use ramona.informatik.uni-stuttgart.de instead.
- 10/28/1999: You can now experiment with the cynthesis
tool. Cynapps provided email
access to cynthesis for us (a better formated description will
follow soon). If you have any problems with the tool, please report
them to us.
